President Paul Kagame and Central African Republic leader Faustin-Archange Touadéra met in Kigali on November 23 to review and deepen the growing partnership between their two nations. Touadéra is in Rwanda for a two-day working visit.
According to the Presidency, the talks centered on Rwanda’s ongoing contributions to security and stability in CAR — including RDF troops deployed under the bilateral defense agreement and those serving within the UN peacekeeping mission. Rwanda has also been instrumental in helping reform CAR’s security institutions by training members of its armed forces.
The two presidents also explored new areas where cooperation could be expanded, particularly in sectors that would create tangible benefits for citizens in both countries.
Rwanda and CAR already enjoy solid ties built on collaboration in infrastructure, health, security, mining, and other key sectors.
