Kigali, Rwanda – The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda has launched a new online membership database and unveiled its five-year Strategic Plan and Communication Strategy as part of efforts to strengthen the party’s operations, expand its membership base, and enhance its contribution to national development.
The initiatives were officially introduced on May 24 during a party meeting led by the party’s president, Senator Dr. Frank Habineza, who described the new tools as key milestones in improving the party’s organizational effectiveness and outreach.
According to the party, the Strategic Plan and Communication Strategy will serve as guiding frameworks for its vision and daily activities over the next five years. The documents are expected to strengthen internal and external communication, promote constructive policy ideas, attract new members, and improve the party’s economic sustainability.
Dr. Habineza outlined several key areas that will shape the party’s activities moving forward. These include training programs focused on environmental protection and climate change, as well as the integration of newly appointed commissioners and recently recruited party members.
“These initiatives are aimed at strengthening communication across all party activities, expanding constructive ideas for national development, increasing party membership, and improving the party’s economic capacity,” he said.
A major highlight of the gathering was the introduction of the party’s online membership database, a digital platform designed to modernize membership management and improve engagement with supporters across the country.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to confirm new commissioners and commission members who will support the implementation of the party’s strategic objectives.
The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda said the new initiatives reflect its commitment to strengthening institutional capacity, promoting sustainable development, and increasing citizen participation in Rwanda’s democratic process. The party believes that embracing digital tools and long-term planning will enhance its ability to effectively serve its members and contribute to the country’s development agenda.
