LONDON – American pop star Ariana Grande will step away from music and public appearances after completing her ‘Eternal Sunshine’ Tour in September 2026, her representative has confirmed.
The announcement was made on August 2, 2026, with Grande’s team saying the singer plans to take a well-deserved break following months of touring.
According to her representative, the tour has been a meaningful experience for the Grammy-winning artist.
“This tour has been an incredible learning experience for Ariana. She loves her fans and has cherished every moment of these performances,” the spokesperson said.
Grande, 33, is scheduled to perform the final show of the tour on September 1, 2026, in London, United Kingdom.
The decision comes amid growing speculation from fans that the demanding tour schedule may have taken a toll on the singer’s health and well-being.
Her representative emphasized that Grande is committed to finishing the tour on a high note before stepping away from the spotlight.
“She is fully focused on ending the tour successfully, in good spirits and good health. After that, she will take the break she deserves and will not be involved in public engagements or fan-related activities for a while,” the statement added.
Grande will also no longer appear in the upcoming West End Revival production of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park With George, despite earlier plans for her to star in the musical.
The production is expected to premiere in the summer of 2027 at London’s Barbican Centre, where Grande had been set to reunite with actor Jonathan Bailey, her co-star in the globally successful film Wicked.
Despite announcing her break, Grande recently released a new album titled Petal on July 31, 2026.
She has also made headlines after reportedly rekindling her relationship with Ricky Alvarez, her former boyfriend and backup dancer, nearly a decade after the pair first dated.
Grande has not indicated how long her hiatus will last, but fans are hopeful the break will allow the singer to rest before returning to music and acting.
