President Kagame Watches PSG Defeat Chelsea at Parc des Princes

Paul Kagame was among the distinguished guests who attended the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea at Parc des Princes.

The Rwandan leader appeared to enjoy the game, especially given his well-known connection to PSG. Although Kagame has previously said he is a supporter of Arsenal, he also backs PSG because of the club’s partnership with Rwanda through the Visit Rwanda initiative.

PSG started the match strongly. In the 10th minute, Bradley Barcola opened the scoring after receiving a pass from João Neves.

Chelsea responded in the 28th minute, when Malo Gusto equalized following an assist from Enzo Fernández.

Just before halftime, PSG regained the lead. In the 40th minute, Ousmane Dembélé, the current European Ballon d’Or winner, dribbled past several Chelsea defenders before scoring to make it 2–1.

Chelsea leveled the score again in the 57th minute, with Enzo Fernández finishing a pass from Pedro Neto.

However, PSG pushed forward aggressively as they looked to strengthen their chances in the UEFA Champions League campaign.

In the 74th minute, Vitinha restored PSG’s lead with a goal assisted by Georgian star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Kvaratskhelia later added two goals of his own in the 86th minute and during stoppage time (90+4), sealing an impressive victory for PSG.

Elsewhere in Europe, Real Madrid defeated Manchester City 3–0, while Bodø/Glimt also won 3–0 against Sporting CP.

Meanwhile, Arsenal drew 1–1 with Bayer Leverkusen. The knockout stage fixtures will continue next week with the return legs.

Teams partnering with Rwanda under the Visit Rwanda campaign also recorded strong results. Bayern Munich thrashed Atalanta 6–1, while Atlético Madrid defeated Tottenham Hotspur 5–2.
