On Monday, February 24th, 2025, at the Kigali Convention Center, Jali Finance unveiled Jali Koi, a product that uses new technology to allow customers to access services without the need for approval from anyone else.
With seven years of experience in providing loans, Jali Finance is Rwanda’s leading company in offering loans, especially for transport related products.
“Jali Koi is a new tech product designed to facilitate the end user,” explained Mr. Felix Nkudimana, CEO of Jari Group, the parent company of Jali Finance.
“The main issue we faced with clients was the delays in service, where they could spend several days waiting for approval. Now, we have merged our services into a single platform. Customers can now access and pay for services either in cash or on credit, all without the need for human intervention,” Mr. Nkundimana added.
Mr. Nkundimana continued, “We have been performing well in terms of technology, particularly with back-end systems used by our administrative team and developers. However, with Jali Koi, we are transitioning to a self-service model, allowing clients to manage their own services independently. The system is fully integrated, so users can access services without requiring human assistance.”
One of the past challenges was the time it took to approve services, which could delay the process for several days. Clients previously had the option to pay either in cash or on credit, but now these options are combined into one seamless service.

Felix Nkundimana also emphasized that this presents an opportunity for other companies to collaborate with Jali Finance.
In terms of assets, Jali Finance boasts the largest fleet of electric motorcycles in Rwanda. The company also provides loans for cars and other related products. However, Jali Finance is expanding beyond motorcycles and cars and will soon launch additional loan products. Some will be offered directly by Jali Finance, while others will come from partnerships with other financial institutions through their platform. Jali Finance’s role is to facilitate access to these services.
This new system will offer both short-term consumer loans and long-term asset financing to meet a variety of client needs.
This transition from the old model to the new one is expected to greatly enhance the experience for both clients and institutions partnering with Jali Finance.
Jali Koi will continue to offer longer-term payment options for high-value assets, such as cars, with repayment plans of up to four years.
