Rick Ross Denies Domestic Violence Allegations After Being Released on Bail

Rapper Rick Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, has denied allegations of domestic violence after being released on bail following his arrest in Florida.

Ross was arrested on Thursday, October 1, 2026, in Miami Beach after turning himself in to police. He was charged with felony battery by strangulation and a separate misdemeanor battery charge.

During a court appearance, his attorney asked that the rapper not be held in custody, and Ross was subsequently released after posting bail.

Speaking to reporters after leaving jail, Ross denied the allegations, describing them as false and insisting that he is innocent.

“First and foremost, I am completely innocent of these fabricated charges that have been brought against me,” he said.

The rapper also expressed confidence in his legal team, saying he believes the allegations will ultimately be shown to have no basis.

His attorneys similarly said Ross had been “wrongfully accused” by his former girlfriend and pointed out that the complaint was filed about a month after the alleged incident reportedly occurred.

In a moment that surprised some reporters waiting outside the jail, Ross also used the opportunity to discuss his upcoming work-related travel plans, including trips to Dubai and Paris.

Despite being released on bail, Ross is expected to return to court on October 22, 2026.
