American social media personality Ashton Hall arrived in Rwanda at around 2:00 a.m. on Friday, accompanied by Indian content creator Indian Ashton Hall and Rwandan influencer Ashton Small, popularly known as Kagarara. The trio traveled from Benin as part of their ongoing tour across several African countries.
Despite their late-night arrival, dozens of journalists and enthusiastic fans gathered at Kigali International Airport in Kanombe to welcome them.
Speaking shortly after landing, Ashton Hall expressed his excitement about visiting Rwanda, the home country of his friend Ashton Small.
Asked whether he knew much about Rwanda before meeting Kagarara, Hall replied, “To be honest, I didn’t know much about Rwanda before. Ashton Small is the one who introduced me to the country.”
He also encouraged young Rwandans to pursue their ambitions regardless of criticism from others.
“Keep dreaming big and never give up. Don’t let anyone discourage you or call you crazy because of the goals you want to achieve,” he said.
Hall praised Ashton Small’s rapid rise on social media, particularly on Instagram, where his following has grown significantly. He urged Rwandans to support Kagarara by following his content so that his work can reach an even wider audience.
On June 16, 2026, Ashton Small posted a video inviting Hall to visit Rwanda and witness the extraordinary talents of Rwandans living with disabilities.
Since then, Kagarara’s popularity has surged, making him one of Rwanda’s fastest-growing Instagram personalities, with more than 300,000 followers.
His rapid rise has largely been fueled by his collaboration with Ashton Hall, who is widely known for his motivational fitness content and intense running videos. Hall recently announced his goal of helping Kagarara reach one million Instagram followers while supporting him in other personal and professional projects.
Rwanda is the latest stop on the group’s African tour, following visits to Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, and Benin.
During their stay, Ashton Hall and his team are expected to visit several landmarks in Kigali, tour Kagarara’s family home, and participate in various activities organized as part of the visit.
