Kicukiro Primary Court has postponed the hearing of Patrick Ishimwe, better known as Pazzo Man, and John Kalisa, alias Kjohn — the two suspects linked to the leaked intimate video of musician Yampano.
The pair is accused of being involved in the circulation of the explicit footage. Earlier this month, Yampano lodged a complaint claiming that Ishimwe, his former manager and one-time housemate, accessed the video from his phone and helped push it onto social media.
The matter is being pursued under Rwanda’s cybercrime legislation after the video spread rapidly on November 9 across platforms such as WhatsApp and Snapchat.
During their court appearance on Thursday, November 27, Ishimwe told the judges that he had received his case file too late to review it properly and had not yet found a lawyer. The judges consequently rescheduled the hearing for December 4.
Although Kjohn said he was ready to proceed, prosecutors explained that both suspects must be tried together, as they share a single case file and face the same accusations.
